CCC Cruise 2026

About Christian Community Choir

A short story of who we are, our music, and the vision behind the 2026 Homecoming Cruise.

Who We Are

The Christian Community Choir (CCC) was founded in 2017 at SBS under the leadership of Arturo Friessen, with a simple but powerful vision — to bring together singers and musicians from across the Mennonite churches into one unified, high-standard choir.

CCC was created to perform SATB (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) music at a professional level — music that not only sounds excellent but also inspires both performers and listeners. From its very beginning, CCC has served as a place where voices from different churches and generations come together to celebrate their shared faith through song.

Our Growth and Community

What started as a local initiative soon became a vibrant musical movement. Over the years, more than 230 people have participated in CCC — singers, musicians, and volunteers who share a love for music and a desire to praise God with excellence.

The choir draws its members primarily from the Cuauhtémoc community, but its influence has reached far beyond. As new generations developed a passion for choral singing, CCC became a bridge between tradition and modern expression — a place where young and old join in harmony. Today, CCC is more than a choir; it’s a community of believers united by their voices, their hearts, and their faith.

Our Music

The choir’s style can be described as contemporary choral music accompanied by a live band and orchestra. Every song is selected and arranged to reflect the choir’s message of unity, encouragement, and faith.

CCC’s concerts are designed to move both the spirit and the senses — combining musical precision with emotional power. Through their performances, the choir seeks to remind the audience that worship is not limited to one congregation or one sound; it’s a collective expression of gratitude and joy.

The Vision Behind CCC

The heart of CCC has always been to build bridges — between churches, generations, and people. Its members believe that music is one of God’s greatest gifts — an instrument that can unite communities and lift hearts closer to Him.

The choir’s long-term goal is to be recognized as one of the finest choirs and orchestras in the region, not for fame or prestige, but as a testimony of what can happen when believers come together to serve with excellence. Every rehearsal, every note, every concert is an act of worship — and a reminder that the most beautiful harmony is created when voices are joined with purpose.

The 2026 Cruise

After years of growth and success, CCC envisioned something extraordinary — a way to celebrate music and community in a new setting. The Christian Community Choir Homecoming Cruise 2026 is that dream realized.

For one unforgettable week, 120 choir members, a full orchestra, and 25 staff will sail aboard the Allure of the Seas with Royal Caribbean, performing six live concerts at sea. Each performance will blend worship, artistry, and fellowship, with special guest David Toews joining as a featured performer.

This event isn’t only a celebration of CCC’s journey — it’s a statement of faith, unity, and joy shared across the ocean.

Our Mission

At its core, CCC exists to inspire excellence in music and faith. The choir hopes to awaken a renewed passion for congregational and choral singing — to see churches become places where voices rise confidently in praise once again.

CCC’s music is made from the heart, for the heart — uplifting, encouraging, and calling everyone to remember that the human voice is the most remarkable instrument ever created by God. Whether on land or at sea, CCC continues to live out its mission: to unite believers, strengthen communities, and fill the world with harmony.

“Even though we come from different churches, we sing with one purpose — to glorify the same Savior.”
— Arturo Friessen, Choir Director
